Cold, Wet, Windy

Wheatley arrived at Chesham with high hopes for the days match, looking to continue their unbeaten run for 2015 and make it 3 wins in a row. Unfortunately they would leave the Buckinghamshire town with only 1 point in hand.

It was a slow start to the game with a few questionable (to be polite) decisions made, with one Chesham player thinking he was Rey Mysterio and pulling out the close line on Sebastien Wilson. Both sides deciding that a forward based game plan would reap the rewards for them. Slowly but surely Wheatley marched up the field with a few good phases of play. Wheatley then camped themselves on the Chesham 5 meter line. With the Chesham defense now tightening up close to the rucks, Wheatley pulled out a bold move and used Jack Smith (Mr Utility) as a dummy crash ball, with lightning decisions he turned into a 10 and put Josh in close to the posts.

Chesham did not take kindly to Wheatley putting points on the board. With the end of the first half looming Chesham chose their time to strike. As Wheatley had done previously they camped on Wheatleys 5 meter line. Then after Knock Knock Knocking on wheatleys door, they went over the line.

In the dying seconds of the first half Wheatley regained possession and through some great play in the backs Luke (Ajax) Agius went in to put Wheatley back in the lead at the break.

The second half started much like the first with a lot of slow play from both sets of forwards.

Another couple of Randy Orton esk challenges again on Seb (still not noticed by the ref) saw a slow second half play on with both teams looking assert their dominance on the other. Wheatley didn't hesitate to capitalise, on the Chesham 10 meter line, which is exactly what they did. Which saw a now heavily battle beaten Seb spot the entire Chesham defensive line offside! The moment was almost to good to be true. So he darted through and put himself in under the posts. Unfortunately with Sebs ankle now not at 100%, he might have stubbed his toe on the strike on the conversion which sent it wide of the mark.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, full back Leon Westerman was victim to stamping so as Leon expressed his displeasure to the player in question he received a yellow card. The 10 minutes that Leon spent on the side lines with mostly uneventful apart from a lightning run down the line from Joe Hobdell who may have put his foot in touch.

With the clock now counting down the last 5 minutes of the game Wheatley were shocked with the next turn of events.

A clearance kick gone wrong saw Chesham score in the corner. Then some quick play saw Chesham score in the dying moments of the game.

Final Whistle Chesham 20, Wheatley 17.
