That time is now!
We have arrived at our destination, ALL aboard the banter bus for an action packed fun filled purple Wheatley adventure................
1st stop Abingdon RUFC , with the last encounter between the 2 clubs Abingdon vets recruited most of the Pacific nations to demolish the most senior representatives from Wheatley on a damp Wednesday evening in February, not that we are bitter! in first team action however Abingdon are fresh up in to the BBO Prem having spent a season in the Championship and gaining promotion having finished 2nd behind Chipping Norton. In the last fixture back at the end of the 2018 season Abingdon defeated Wheatley and put pay to any play off hopes that we had and proved worthy winners having a pretty direct approach Abingdon's strong runners overcoming the Wheatley defence.
In this first fixture of the new season we have found our selves with some early season injury disappointment with Sean Brook, Harry Block and Dan Rule all failing late fitness tests.
This week is the culmination of 8 week prep for some, and 8 hours for others! but we will take the field with the traditional Wheatley approach we play hard, we leave nothing in the tank and we support one another.
Go hard men, win the collision, bring back the points and win with a smile on your face.
