Shield Final Wheatley vs Littlemore
Wheatley's preparations for the cup final have been goo as we have seen increased numbers at training with old heads making an appearance to give pass on pearls of wisdom and impart some dark arts on the youthful innocence within the squad,
With the rivalry intensified between the two clubs since the resurgence of Littlemore we have seen close encounters with no more than 4 points separating them in the last 3 fixtures.
Wheatley come in to this week carrying injuries to several influential players, Josh Hilsdon still not recovered from a hip injury sustained earlier in the season, Dan Bland touch and go on a hand injury, Matt Gibb needing to under go surgery on his face with a fracture picked up in last weeks league fixture against Slough and Dan Rule recovering from a shoulder dislocation also from last weeks game.
We welcome back into the fold Jack Smith whom has recovered from his injury sustained from an unprovoked 15 man assault whilst minding his own business in a late night drinking establishment.
Wheatley are lead from the front with Skipper Alex Acklam the cornerstone of Wheatley's scrum packing down at loose head, Alex Gabbidon now busy in his new position both on and off the field retained at hooker, Ezra Rees adds pace to the front row at tight head, Jack "brawler" Smith comes in to first lock packing down with Jack "2nd service" Atkinson who hopes he and Smith have a good thing going on. Spencer Bailey continues at 6 with Caillin Taylor packing down with his friends at open side, James Neal completes the pack at 8
Jack "new balls" Taylor will start at scrum half with Aaron Laman at 10 Joe Hobdell and returning Sanda Mpanza add bulk to the back line with Toby Butler switching to wing, Chinese Joe takes the other wing and Jordan Hook will look to add attacking threat from full back,
