Training Every Tuesday at Wheatley RUFC

Wheatley RUFC is welcoming new and returning players to senior training every Tuesday evening from 7:15pm at Holton Playing Fields.

Whether you have played rugby for years, are looking to return after some time away or have never picked up a rugby ball before, you are welcome to come down and get involved.

Fun, sociable and open to everyone
The focus of our Tuesday sessions is simple, to enjoy rugby, build fitness, develop skills and bring people together.

You do not need to arrive match-fit or have recent playing experience. Wheatley is rebuilding its senior playing group and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to become part of the club.

If you have been thinking about getting back into rugby, moving to a new club or simply trying something different, Tuesday training is the perfect place to start.

Building towards more rugby
As Wheatley RUFC continues its rebuild, every new player helps strengthen the foundations of the club.

Regular training gives us the opportunity to build a settled playing group, introduce new faces and work towards a stronger programme of fixtures.

The aim is not just to put a team on the field for one weekend, but to create something sustainable that players can enjoy being part of throughout the season and beyond.

New to the area?
Wheatley is well placed for players living across east Oxford and the surrounding villages, as well as students and those working locally who are looking for a community rugby club.

You do not need to know anyone before coming down.

Just turn up, introduce yourself and get involved.
