The Guinness Men's Six Nations returns in February 2027

The Guinness Men's Six Nations Championship returns in February 2027, bringing together six of Europe's leading rugby nations for five rounds of international rugby across six weeks.

Beginning on Friday 5th February and concluding with Super Saturday on Saturday 13th March, the 2027 Championship will feature 15 fixtures as England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy compete for one of international rugby's most prestigious titles.

From the opening weekend in Dublin to the traditional rivalries of the Calcutta Cup and Le Crunch, supporters can look forward to another Championship featuring some of the biggest fixtures in the international calendar.

Wheatley RUFC looks forward to welcoming rugby supporters, club members, friends and the local community throughout the Championship, with details of clubhouse match screenings to be confirmed nearer the tournament.

THE GUINNESS MEN'S SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP

The Six Nations is one of rugby union's oldest and most recognisable international competitions, with its origins dating back to the original Home Nations Championship in 1883.

The competition expanded to become the Five Nations with the inclusion of France, before Italy joined in 2000 to establish the modern Six Nations format.

Six nations compete annually:

- England
- France
- Ireland
- Italy
- Scotland
- Wales

Each nation plays the other five teams once, with home advantage alternating between seasons.

Alongside the Championship title, teams also compete for several historic honours, including the Triple Crown, contested between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and the Calcutta Cup, awarded to the winner of England against Scotland.

France enter the 2027 Championship as defending champions, having secured consecutive titles in 2025 and 2026.

With 15 matches scheduled across five rounds, the Championship will provide plenty of opportunities for supporters to follow their nations throughout February and March.

ROUND 1 | FRIDAY 5TH - SATURDAY 6TH FEBRUARY

The 2027 Championship begins with a major encounter in Dublin as Ireland welcome England to the Aviva Stadium on Friday evening.

The opening weekend continues on Saturday with Scotland hosting Italy at Murrayfield, followed by France taking on Wales in Paris.

ROUND 2 | SATURDAY 13TH - SUNDAY 14TH FEBRUARY

The second round features three fixtures spread across Saturday and Sunday, with another important weekend for the Championship standings.

Italy welcome Ireland to Rome before Scotland take on Wales at Murrayfield.

Sunday 14th February

The meeting at Twickenham will be England's first home fixture of the 2027 tournament and could prove significant in shaping the early title race.

ROUND 3 | SATURDAY 20TH - SUNDAY 21ST FEBRUARY

Round 3 marks the halfway point of the Championship, with another three fixtures taking place across the weekend.
