Grove 3rd XV vs Wheatley 2nd XV XV (1500)

After another disappointing weekend, Wheatley 2nds travel to Grove with the hopes of finally capitalising on the promise they have shown in their early games. The Grove team they will face have only played one game so far this year, after conceding two away walkovers to Harwell and Quins. The solitary game they have played was a high scoring loss at home to Harwell, 31-50. As a result they currently lie bottom of the BBO 4 North with -9 points. Having only played 1 game, Wheatley should be wary as Grove’s true strength is yet to be displayed.
The second team are facing somewhat of a selection crisis, with many second team regulars unavailable and with even more of the reserves out, options are thin on the ground, so expect to see players playing out of position. Anthony Cortez and Jake Durbin again line up in the Front row, with Chris Eggleston returning alongside them. Captain Pete Ramsdale and Mike Lasko bring some consistency to the front row, whilst Liam Meredith, Matt Gibb and the returning Rob Cook make up the back row. Rob George again starts at 10, with newcomer Nick Rowley inside him at 9. Jacob Rawlinson makes his first start of the year in the centres with number 8 come centre Toby Pocock. Jordan Mayling starts on one wing with Michael Martini on the other and someone else at Full back.
Forwards: A Cortez, J Durbin, C Eggleston, M Gibb, P Ramsdale (Captain), M Lasko, L Meredith, R Cook,
Backs: R George, M Martini, J Mayling, J Rawlinson, Nick Rowley, T Pocock
*STARTING LINE UP IS LIKELY TO CHANGE*
