It took 7 minutes to open the scoring at Chippy with Jordan Hook finishing off a great flowing move that saw the ball moving left to right with Hook finding space to open up the home sides defence for a converted try 0-7, 7 minutes later Michael Ridge doubled Wheatley advantage in a carbon copy of the first but with the conversion attempt drifting wide. 0-12
Chippy came to life thereafter hitting back with a try inside of 2 minutes with a basic pick and go from the base of the scrum their big running number 8 brushed off a couple of tackles to go under the posts. 7-12
On the 22 minute mark Jack Taylor broke free to show a clean pair of heals to the floundering defence to get the first of his brace on this sunny Saturday afternoon with Aaron Laman adding the extras. 7-19 it wasn't long before Wheatley were back in the Chippy 22 and with Wheatley upping the tempo at the breakdown `Chipping Norton were looking to slow play down, unfortunately for them the official was running a very efficient breakdown and awarded the purple men a penalty in kicking range which Aaron Laman duly kicked 7-22.
Chippy hit back late in the half with a converted try after building some phase play eventually finding a way through the Wheatley defensive line.

With 16 minutes played in the second half Jack Taylor grabbed his brace after sniping from the breakdown and finishing from 30 yards with Laman adding the conversion. 14-29
Wheatley continued to press but were unable to get the decisive try and to Chippy credit they did not let up in there pursuit of a bonus point, Wheatley allowed some indiscipline to creep in to their game and conceded some soft penalties leaving the door open for a Chippy resurgence. on the 64th minute the home team added a converted try 21-29 shortly afterward Wheatley were dealt an injury blow with Michael Ridge suffering a dislocated elbow.
Wheatley still remained calm and were seeing out the half and found themselves back in the home teams 22 with an attacking lineout, great execution saw the maul develop, but unfortunate intervention saw the ball touched down 5 meters short and subsequently turned over, Chippy played out and crossed the Wheatley line out wide for the concluding unconverted try 26-29.
Wheatley played out the game under control to seal an impressive bonus point away win.
Some great performances but Wheatley will feel a little frustrated they couldn't put Chippy to the sward with a couple more tries, a couple of injury concerns moving forward with the Moose suffering from his dislocated elbow and impressive newcomer Zach Guyer also limping off in the first half. That said Keiran Coster impressed from the bench with Harry Walker filling in at centre seamlessly.
