Wheatley found form and notched over 60 points for the second time this season with a good display against Risborough, the home side opens the scoring with Wheatley conceding a penalty early on, H Flicking adding the 3 points,
Alex Gabbidon hit back with an unconverted try on 5 minutes, a minute later the returning Jack Taylor opened his account, with the conversion missed.
Wheatley began to dominate play and soon found themselves camped on the Risborough line, with a scrum on the 5 meter line Wheatley dominated the set pice and pushed over for James Butler to score with Aaron Laman adding the conversion. 17-3 Wheatley to press and took a 33-3 lead into the half time huddle and Jack Taylor scoring a first half Hattrick.
Risborough to their credit tightened things up in the second half scoring 2 tries of their own, Wheatley added more pressure with more tries from Taylor Sanda Mpanza, Dan Rue and Sean Brook in total Aaron added 8 conversions.
To Risboroughs credit they did not give up and continued to compete well at the breakdown, Wheatley had moments of real class and when the discipline and structure within their game was observed caused real problems to the defence on occasion the disco rugby came out and was the undoing of the phases attack.
All in all a good day and with now with a week off Wheatley can mend some battered bodies and look to add more players back to the squads for the Tadley game.
