Here we go sports fans our penultimate game of the season at Holton Playing Fields of Dreams, we welcome Chesham Stags across the boarder from deepest darkest Buckinghamshire for whats shopping up to be a hotly contested BBO Prem fixture with both team vying for a top 3 spot.
Last time out way back in September Wheatley felt a little aggrieved having fought themselves back into the game only to have a try disallowed in the dying moments and coming away with a loosing bonus point 19-13
A more familiar feel to the foot row this week with skipper Alex Acklam back at loose head and joined by his partners in crime Pete Mitchell and Alex Gabbidon at hooker and tight head respectively with the former fresh off the back of receiving the blue modesty screens whilst donating at the JR and the latter looking forward to unleashing his new mango body butter post match.
In the engine room this week Joe Hobdell moves in from open side in a move not to dissimilar to Eddie Jones's utilisation of Mario Itoje with Joe looking to add energy to the position and also provide a good line out option,
OOOOOOOOHHHHH JJJJJOOOOOOEEEEEEEEE HHHHHHOOOOOOOBBBBBBDDDDELLLL joining Joe is Veteran lock Jack Atkinson with more second row miles under his belt this season Acko has locked down this position as his own, with his legs now back in full working order Jack will be sure to pass on his engine room wizardry to his less experienced partner.
Potty mouth Spencer Bailey retains the 6 shirt of of the back of some impressive performances, Dan Bland returning to action after realising we still have some games left to play this season, with James Neal having aggravated an old cricketing injury Simon Chadbone will be hopeful Spencer can keep his turrets in check this week affording himself more room to express his feelings on the field.
With Jack Taylor, Gav Belcher and Hugo Stanford-Tuck all away at some scrum half convention we turn to Toby Butler's versatility at 9 this week and with Toby fresh off of the back of a MOM performance at Bletchley Toby will be relishing the opportunity to provide guidance to the purple pack, Aaron Laman comes in at 10 with the old war horse Russell Neal providing experience at 12 Sand Mpanza is second centre adding a physical presence, on the wings Joe Taylor and Jake Durbin provide our attacking threat with Joe now a consistent performer out wide and Jake taking those boots to a position they are more befitting, Jordan Hook comes in at full back and after ending the Bletchley's centres afternoon last week Jordan takes the enforcer armband into this weeks fixture.
This weeks bench, Wheatleys answer to right said fred Jack Smith provides cover to the backs and forwards, Ezra Rees returns from warm weather training to cover the front row and Cailin can run touch......
With the scent of pig in the air this weeks fixture is sure to be a humdinger not to mention the activities planned during and after the match we also have a fines committee on hand to unleash some retribution on the buckinghamshire men.
Go hard chaps
