James Neal Sidelined with Concussion
Wheatley welcome local rivals Littlemore to Holton for this weeks BBO Premiership fixture with Littlemore 2nd in the league some 10 points ahead of Wheatley,.
Wheatley will set out with a point to prove have felt the recent run of disappointing results is not a true reflection of current form.
Injuries and unavailability leave Wheatley having to make a few changes to what has become a pretty consistent unit with James Neal still recovering from a freak shaving accident that left him concussed and consequently sitting out for 3 weeks! with James sidelined Simon Chadbone comes in at 8 with Jack Atkinson choosing to remain in the 2nd row with Matt Gibb.
Back to the front row the now familiar partnership Alex Acklam, Pete Mitchell and Alex Gabbidon will be assisted by Ezra Rees and looking to build on recent performances and keep the opposition honest.
The 9-10 relationship continues to flourish with Jack Taylor and Aaron Laman again looking to ignite the backline.
With Sanda Mpanza and Iain Downer both unavailable Toby Butler comes in at 12 allowing Wheatley to explore alternative attacking options, and perhaps more ball in hand options.
Both wings look pretty familiar with Joe Taylor now coming of age and Dan Rule still hungry I'm sure they will be looking to demonstrate they can move when they have to!
Joe Hobdell steps into the 13 birth adding a physical element to the backline and offers a direct approach Jordan Hook will be offering the firepower at fullback and we hope he will unleash the "step" and keep his kicking for emergency only with the former offering more threat.
With the 2nd string game cancelled hopefully we will see some of the #oneclub mentality demonstrated and make Holton a fortress!
Kick off at 2, see you there!
