Wheatley came out the blocks on Saturday under no elusion that it was going be an easy afternoon and wanting to set the tempo early on, the early pressure went un rewarded, after camping in the 22 Wheatley were the first to conceed after loosing discipline at the breakdown allowed Didcot to gain territory and momentum to cross in the corner conversion missed. 0-5

Wheatley hit straight back adding urgency to the breakdown allowed Jordan Hook to hit the line and with some neat foot work broke through the Didcot defence to open Wheatley's account Aaron missed the conversion 5-5

Wheatley continued to play with pace this kept the big Didcot forward pack moving and with the visitors set piece struggling to function frustration began to set in and penalties soon came, Aaron Laman adding 3 points. 8-5

Wheatley Welcomed back the returning Iain Downer coming on for injured Jack Taylor.

Dan rule was next on the score sheet picking up a loose ball on the Wheatley 22 and with a efficient use of the hand off on the Didcot 15 was able to race in under the posts Lama adding the conversion 15-5,

Didcot then seemed to come into the game as the pace dropped, giving Wheatley's defence a shake down, defensive organisation won out with mistakes from the visitors letting Wheatley off the hook Joe Hobdell attempt to pick up the loose ball was thwarted with a clinical trip from the number 3 who took 10 minutes for his action and could possibly count himself lucky not to have seen red had Joe not had so much distance to travel to what could have been a try.

Wheatley were only able to make the extra man count for 30 seconds with James Neal also taking time out for a deliberate knock on, Wheatley saw out the half with 14 men,

Soon after the break Aaron added another 3 points from after a breakdown infringement 18-5

Didcot hit back on 50 minutes with a well worked try after building some phases and putting there speedy winger into space for a converted try.

Wheatley continued to pressurise the Didcot attack with Josh Hillsdon picking off an interception and run in a converted try from 50 yards 25-12

Dicot added another try with Wheatley slow to react to the on their own line allowing the visitors 10 to sink over and the apparent droping of the all going unnoticed 25-19

Wheatley were able to up the pace once more and again the Didcot forwards were slow to react and with strong running from Ez Rees and Fraser Peterson Wheatley were able to probe deed into the Dicot Half, Arron Laman was able to sink himself clear to add 5 points to his tally 30-19.

Didcot were able to add a conciliation try after some woeful defending the Didcot wing was able to evade several tackle attempts to score out wide 30-22

All in all an improved performance from Wheatley, some standout performances from several players with Fraser, James Neal most prominent Fraser just piping James to the post for POD
