Wheatley produced a fine display to take a 5 point victory vs the Bucks men, from the first whistle the intent was clear from Wheatley looking to more the ball at every opportunity and get the hands working.
Drifters came with the same intent wanting to play and delivering a physical approach. The Wheatley pack as ever did not disappoint putting the visitors scrum under pressure ultimately leading to Drifters opting for the uncontested scrum at halftime after 2 front row injuries.
Wheatley also suffered a loss with Sanda Mpanza pulling up with a muscle strain after chasing down the opposition winger much more junior in years. With Sanda forced off of the field it was Michael Ridge (Moose) who entered the arena taking up a less familiar role in the centre, it wasn't long before Moose looked right at home galloping up the field moving the defence at will with a change of direction the others could only dream of (Jordan) Moose was able to go in unposed under the posts.
More flowing rugby followed with not a single player missing the opportunity to put the ball through the hands although some hands did appear stickier than others......
Jack Taylor was given a yellow card on 70 minutes for persistent questions! in all fairness there is only so many questions anyone can take!
Altogether a very good team performance with Wheatley able to re-kindle old partnerships with many players answering the call this week.
