Wheatley prop Alex Gabbidon was hailed 'an unbelievable player’ as he was named WRUFC Player of the Month for December.
Gabbidon has been in the form of his life in the Wheatley front row carrying for almost 100 metres in this months Wadworth Brewery Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premiership Rugby matches, offloading four times and making an impressive 9 tackles, even adding a try to his stat tally for the month of December
Wheatley Chairman Pete Ramsdale said: “We're delighted that Alex has been named WRUFC Player of the Month.
“He's an unbelievable player for us; he is scrumming particularly well at the moment but his play around the field with and without the ball has been exceptional and his work rate in particular has been phenomenal.”
The 23 year-old was involved in a three-way battle for this month’s title, eventually beating team mates Joe Taylor and Fullback Iain Downer to the title.
Gabbidon was voted for by team mates and supporters of Wheatley RUFC.
